WHAT'S HOT WHAT'S NOT

HEEL THERAPY :
Pumps, wedges .. they are all simply a fetish. Adds glamour and are beautiful. But beauty has a price and we all know that these babies are just difficult to wear if you know what I mean. But well we still love them want them wear them wherever we can cause they add that oomph to that simple rugged jeans or a plain white summer dress.

A guide to wearing those killer heels :

  • Start small : Never wore heels before? start with a 2 inch heel and make your way to those 5 inch stunners. Going big in the first go is a deadly thought especially if its an event. Your feet will hurt may even lead to an injury. Practice at home and start small.
  • Walk heel to toe : When walking try put your heel first rather than your toe. It is not easy to walk in heels and thus if you don't walk properly your stride may look weird.
  • Take small steps : You cannot walk the way you usually walk in those flats in the heels. So take small steps.
  • Walk as if your walking on a straight line : Models usually have this stride and every one wants it. Its not easy and takes time to perfect, so when you are walking step like you are walking on a straight line and your stride will have the sway you want.
  • Be sure about the heels you are about to buy : While buying heel's wear them and try to push yourself out of them with the help of your toes, if you can rise up like you are trying to reach the sky than they will be comfortable after you wear them off else find another pair.
  • Balance weight : Don't put your whole body weight on your toes, your stride will not look normal. Balance your body weight and practice.
Here are some DIY projects to revamp your heels:

ANTI AGING NATURAL SECRETS

Who doesn't want to be forever young. Sadly time comes out as a winner always.. but that doesn't mean you cant look splendid. Here are a few tips for fighting that age a natural battle.

TAKE PLENTY OF PROTEIN: Collagen is a protein which makes up your skin so any food rich in protein like fish, egg, chicken, pulses etc will help tighten your skin free of wrinkles.

DON'T MESS YOUR DIET UP: When you starve yourself or take food at odd hours or even over eat cause you skipped a meal your body does not produce the collagen you need to have that firm wrinkle free skin so.. do not mess your diet up be regular.

CUT THAT SUGAR: Sugar breaks down healthy tissue and slows down the formation of collagen in the body. So if you are habitual of a large hearty dessert its time to cut back. Also avoid taking products with high fructose corn syrup ( found in soda, many salad dressings and many sweet cereal).

BECOME A VEGGIE FREAK: Studies show that people who take vegetables .. especially green vegetables have lesser wrinkles. So instead of taking that bowl of rice with your chicken add loads of colored veggies.

These are just a few simple things you can do to slow down that whole aging process not only that having a healthy lifestyle. Don't forget exercising is as vital as anything else.

10 NATURAL WAYS TO GROW YOUR HAIR:
Who doesn't love long, thick lustrous hair. But if it were only that easy. Hair according to me needs the same amount of attention as your face especially with all those treatments and flat irons.. So here are some simple little things you can do that your hair grows beautiful.

1)REGULAR TRIMS:
It may sound weird as to why trim your hair when the whole point is to grow it out.. true but trimming help loose those drained ends and split ends.. even though these do not effect the growth of the hair much as the growth is from root not tips, it does lead to breakage and unhealthy hair.. we do not want that.

2)HOT OIL SCALP MASSAGES:
It is said by massaging your hair with hot oil leads to an increase in the blood flow.. I am not sure if it really works but it does leave you with really soft, shiny, healthy hair and also prevents dry hair and split ends.

3)NEVER CONDITION YOUR SCALP:
Yes that is true.. Conditioning your scalp will make your hair look dull and will increase dandruff.. conditioning is to be done only at hair ends..

4)PROTEIN BOOST:
Hair is nothing but protein. Food with high protein content will help grow it faster.. so eggs and pulses are like wonder drugs for your hair.

5)SPACE YOUR WASHES:
Washing your hair everyday is not a very good idea. It may leave your hair completely dry due to excessive use of shampooing and conditioning. Ideally 2 - 3 times a week is good enough.

6)WHILE SLEEPING:
Never ever tie your hair in a tight ponytail or a bun or tight anything while going to bed! It may lead to breakage.. Tie it loosely and always comb your hair before going to bed.

7)NEVER BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN WET:
Never do that.. its the worst you can do.. Your hair will break more easily cause when wet hair is vulnerable so avoid it.

8)BEAT THE HEAT:
Too much of heat is not good for your hair. Avoid exposing your hair to sun for too long. Wear caps and scarves. And also heating in the form of dryers and flat irons is also a big no if you want healthy long hair.. Avoid it as much as you can.

9) BIOTIN:
A lot of people say biotin effects the growth of your hair. It is a Vitamin B that is present in foods like eggs, soy, whole grains and liver. You can also take supplements for it. Be ready for some amazing results.

10)YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT:
And this applies to your tresses as well. The more nourishment your body gets, the faster your hair will grow. Some of the best hair foods are salmon, sardines, tuna, eggs, cereal, nuts, green veggies, carrots and lastly a lot of water!

Hair growth can be affected by these simple things that can be integrated in your lifestyle. There are many other ways to make hair growth faster naturally.

FIX THOSE SPLIT ENDS:
We all suffer from this at some point of time to other. Split ends are nothing but denatured proteins due to excessive use of hair dryers, flat irons etc or any other harsh chemical's , but this can be prevented with these simple recipes that you can make at your home. All these things do wonders to your hair split ends or not and also they are easily available

REMEDY 1:

You'll need:

  • 1 egg yolk
  •  Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Honey
Heat the oil and massage your scalp and hair roots.
Mix rest of the ingredients together till completely mixed. Apply to your hair in sections starting from the scalp and work your way till the ends. Put a shower cap on and leave for good 30 mins. Rinse with cold water. This will leave you with soft, shiny hair. Once or twice a week will leave you with excellent results

REMEDY 2:

You'll need:

  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Coconut or Olive oil
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Gooseberry (optional)
Heat the oil and massage into your scalp root to tip properly.
Mash the avocado and mix with mashed banana, honey and egg yolk. If you are using the gooseberry its advised to blend it with few drops of water in a blender and use the juice in the mixture.
Apply to your hair root to tips, focusing on the tips. Put a shower cap on and leave for about 30 mins. Rinse with cold water. This treatment is for severely damaged hair as it provides high conditioning. Repeat it twice a week if your hair is really damaged.

 REMEDY 3:

You'll need:

  • Beer
Yes only beer. I recently read somewhere that beer works wonders at fixing split ends because the proteins and sugar in beer bonds to the hair shaft, therefore fortifying dry hair and split ends and giving a silky shine to your hair.

How to use:
Pour the amount of light beer enough to cover your hair in a spray pump bottle. Then spray the beer evenly on your hair after a hair wash and towel dry. Style as normal. Don't worry you will not smell of beer all day long, the smell will quickly dissipate.

You can always leave comments if you wish to know a homemade fix for something. I would love to help out.

Stay beautiful..

How to dress slimmer:
All women want to create that illusion of having that lean silhouette. Here are some tips to dress slimmer. Remember to be true to your own fashion sense for best results. Accessories, if paired well can add  the wow factor to a simple outfit .

1) Understand your body type:
Knowing what body type you are is very essential to dressing good. Find out what body type you are hour glass, pear, tube or apple figure and look at celebrities with the same body type to get a hint as to what is appropriate for your body type.

2) Don't go too loose:
Everyone knows that clothing that is too tight ain't flattering, same applies to clothing that is way too loose. Loose clothes camouflage your figure altogether and you end up looking like a box, now we wouldn't want that. It is very important for you to buy clothes that fit you well not too tight not too loose.

3) Maintain a waist:
No matter what your body type is, you should always accent your waist. Like go with a chunky belt and flat fronted trousers for that slimming effect. Choose dresses that cinch at your natural waist line for that slimming effect.

4) Wrap & Ruche:
If your uncomfortable about your stomach, you are not alone. Many women are insecure about there abdomen area. Easily camouflage your trouble areas with ruched tops. Wrap tops and dresses can also help accentuating your waist while hiding your stomach.

5) Go straight not skinny:
Yes skinny jeans have been the rage for the past few years. Though they look lovely on a tube body type the barely flatter other body types. Choose straight fit jeans over skinny, that taper to your ankle creating a lovely triangle silhouette without clinging to your tummy and thigh's.

6) Wedge it up :
Creating the illusion of length is the key to appear slimmer. Wedge shoes not only shape your calf but also elongate your legs. Wedges are generally comfortable and available in all styles suitable for all events.

7) Go dark:
One of the perennial fashion tips to dress slimmer is to wear dark clothes. Though the seem delicate and airy, avoid whites ad pastels. Black, navy blue and dark green make excellent choices. These dark colors are great for slimming down. Mix stripes and prints with solids for the best results. You don't have to go dark all over, just the areas you wish to hide.

Dressing up to slim down is simple. Remember that understanding your own body type is the first step in creating a gorgeous, lean silhouette. Embrace your body and true beauty will follow.

Once you have the desired shape sew it.. it doesn't matter what color thread you choose as we are going to cover it but sew it tightly ..

Next cut a long thin piece of the 2nd cloth.. As you can see it doesn't have to be neat

Roll it around the middle of the bow where you stitched and stick it using super glue to hide the thread.  Once your done your bow is ready..
All you need to do is stick it on your clip.. Apply the glue on the clip and stick the bow on it and your done..

Here is how the final product looks like simple chic and elegant..
I hope you liked it
